How it works
Most gifting projects stall in the same place — not on choosing a gift, but on the hundred small logistics after it. Addresses, dates, exceptions, tracking, the invoice. Pacific Gift Box Co. is built to take that whole middle section off your desk. Here is exactly what the process looks like.
The five steps
Five steps, and only three of them need anything from you. Step four is the one you are actually outsourcing.
You do
You tell us the budget per recipient, the occasion, and whether you want branding.
We do
We curate two or three directions that fit — with what is inside each one written out, so you are comparing gifts rather than guessing.
You do
You send recipient names, addresses, dates and any notes — a spreadsheet or the body of an email, whichever is less work for you.
We do
We read the list, flag anything missing or ambiguous, and come back with a short list of questions rather than a silent failure later.
You do
You approve the selection and the send schedule.
We do
We source the items, hand-assemble every box in Costa Mesa, and quality-check each one before it is sealed.
You do
Nothing. This is the step you are outsourcing.
We do
We ship to individual recipient addresses, or coordinate hand-delivery across Southern California when the order qualifies.
You do
You pay the invoice and read the summary.
We do
We send tracking as boxes go out, surface any address that failed, and close with a plain summary of what shipped, where, and when.
Getting started
From the moment you get in touch, before you have committed to anything.
Within the hour
A person reads your request
Whether it arrives through the form, the chat, or an email to hello@pacificgiftbox.com, a member of the team reads it and replies within the hour with anything we need clarified before quoting.
Within one business day
You get a written quote
Two or three curated directions, what is inside each one, per-box pricing against the live tiers, and the realistic date range for the quantity you asked about.
Hours 24 to 48
The list template and the branding call
We send a plain spreadsheet template for recipients, and if you want branding we confirm what is actually producible in your timeframe rather than promising and reworking it later.
On approval
Your production slot is held
Approving the quote holds a place in the production calendar. Nothing is charged before that, and the calendar is real — a small studio hand-packing every box has a finite week.
About the intake
A one-time order needs no software and no login. You send a spreadsheet or an email — or we collect the addresses for you — and we do the data work on our side. It means an order can go out this week instead of after an IT review.
An annual program adds two things, and only if you want them: a private gift page where recipients pick their gift and enter their own address, and a dashboard showing what has shipped, what is pending and what is left. Neither is software your team has to roll out — we set them up and you open a link.
What we need from a list
Recipient name, shipping address, and the date or occasion. A per-recipient message line if you want one.
What we never need
A platform rollout, seat licences, a procurement review of new software, or your team learning another tool.
How your list is handled
Addresses are used to fulfil your order and nothing else. We do not sell, share or market to your recipients.
Timing and delivery
Preparation
Standard non-branded orders are prepared in 72 hours. Custom branding adds production time, confirmed in your quote before you approve anything.
Delivery
Southern California orders of 50 boxes or more are hand-delivered by our team at no delivery charge, on the day preparation completes. Smaller orders and anything outside LA, Orange County and San Diego ship tracked ground.
Running this on a repeating schedule instead of one batch at a time is the recurring program. If your finance or procurement team needs paperwork before any of it starts, that lives on the procurement page.
Questions
A spreadsheet (CSV or XLSX) or the body of an email — whichever is less work for you. We need the recipient name, the shipping address, and the date or occasion. A message line per recipient is optional. If your list is in a CRM export with forty columns, send it as-is; we will pull what we need.
Not for a one-time order — intake is a spreadsheet or an email, and we do the data work on our side, so an order can go out this week rather than after an IT review. An annual program adds two optional tools: a private page where recipients choose their gift and enter their own address, and a dashboard showing what has shipped, what is pending and what is left. You open a link; there is nothing to roll out to your team.
We check the list before anything is packed and come back with the rows that are incomplete or ambiguous. If a package is later returned or fails delivery, that exception is surfaced to you with the tracking, and we re-send once you confirm the corrected address.
Standard non-branded orders are prepared in 72 hours. Custom branding adds production time, confirmed in your quote before you approve anything. Delivery time is added on top of preparation — we do not quote same-day or next-day arrival, because these boxes are assembled after you order, not pulled off a shelf.

No minimum to start. One box is a real order. Custom branded packaging is the exception — printing has its own setup, so branded runs have a minimum quantity that we confirm in the quote.
Yes, and this is one of the practical advantages of hand-packing rather than warehouse picking. Alcohol-free, gluten-aware and nut-free variants can be built into the same batch, and during SoCal summers we swap chocolate and candles for heat-safe alternatives on routes where it matters. Nut-free here means no nut-containing items in the box, not an allergen-free facility: we pack by hand on shared surfaces alongside products containing nuts. For a severe or anaphylactic allergy, tell us before ordering and we will send the ingredient and manufacturer allergen statements so you can decide.
You are invoiced for the completed batch. Purchase-order invoicing, cost-center codes, split billing and net terms for approved accounts are all supported — the documentation your procurement team usually asks for, including a W-9 and a certificate of insurance, is covered on the procurement page.
The IRS caps the deduction for business gifts at $25 per recipient per year, but incidental costs such as engraving, packaging and shipping are generally excluded from that cap, which is part of why a presentation-forward box is treated differently from its sticker price. Rules change and situations differ, so confirm the treatment of any gifting spend with your accountant.
