Sendoso Alternative · No Contract · Costa Mesa, CA

A Sendoso alternative —
without the enterprise contract

Sendoso is a sending platform: software that plugs into a CRM and lets a sales or marketing team trigger gifts, e-gifts and swag at scale under an annual agreement. Pacific Gift Box Co. is a studio. We hand-pack curated boxes in Costa Mesa, you order when you have a reason to, and there is no platform, seat or contract in between. This page is about which of those you actually need.

What is a cheaper Sendoso alternative for a startup?

For a startup that sends gifts in the dozens, the cheaper Sendoso alternative is usually not another platform but ordering boxes directly: no annual agreement, no platform fee and no seats, just orders from 12 boxes, so what you spend goes into the gifts themselves. Pacific Gift Box Co. works that way. You approve a written quote for each order, non-branded boxes are packed within 72 hours, and a person replies within one business day.

A platform starts to pay for itself when hundreds of reps need a send button inside a CRM; before that point, ordering per send keeps gifting spend tied to the boxes that actually go out. How we work with early-stage teams is on our page for corporate gifts for startups.

Where Sendoso wins

Who Sendoso is genuinely the better call for

A platform earns its keep when the problem is coordination, not curation. If two hundred sales reps need a send button inside the CRM, with budgets by team, an approval step, and a report that rolls spend up by region, that is software work — and a studio packing boxes on a bench in Costa Mesa is not going to build it for you.

The same is true if most of what you send is digital. E-gift codes, gift cards and branded merchandise across dozens of countries are exactly what a marketplace model is for: the vendor behind each listing fulfils it, the platform tracks it, and nobody has to touch a box. If your list is international, or you do not know your recipients' addresses and want them to redeem a link on their own, that workflow is real and it works.

So the honest summary is this: if your pain is “our reps cannot send anything without asking marketing,” you are shopping for a platform. If your pain is “the last box we sent looked like everyone else's,” keep reading.

When to choose us

Dozens of boxes, one studio, no login

  • You send in the dozens, not the thousands. A platform's economics assume volume. At forty client thank-yous or a hundred onboarding kits a year, the agreement costs more attention than the gifts do.
  • The gift has to read as a gift. A box that arrives at a desk, with named brands and a card, lands differently from a redeem-by-Friday link. That is the whole reason to send a physical thing.
  • You want it to go out this week. A one-time order needs no software and no login. You send a spreadsheet or an email — or we collect the addresses for you — and we do the data work on our side. It means an order can go out this week instead of after an IT review.
  • Your recipients are in Southern California. Orders of 50 or more inside our 6-county footprint are hand-delivered free by our own team on the day packing completes — no carrier, no shipping line.
  • You still want a standing program, without the software. The annual corporate gifting program reserves from 50 gifts a year and ships them individually as occasions come up. An annual program adds two things, and only if you want them: a private gift page where recipients pick their gift and enter their own address, and a dashboard showing what has shipped, what is pending and what is left. Neither is software your team has to roll out — we set them up and you open a link.

A worked example · hypothetical

Sixty client thank-yous after a launch

Suppose — this is a hypothetical, not a customer — a sales team wants to thank 60 clients across Orange County after a product launch, one box each to their offices. They pick Golden Hour Sips from the Signature Collection, listed from $79 per box. An alcohol-free apéritivo for the end of a good week — sparkling mixers, something salty, something sweet.

From $4,740
  • Shipping quoted separately
  • Custom branding quoted separately

Because the order is 50 or more and every address sits inside the 6-county footprint, it is hand-delivered free on the day the 72-hour pack completes — there is no shipping line to add. If those 60 clients were spread across the country instead, the same boxes would ship tracked ground, arriving 1–5 business days after packing, with shipping quoted by destination before you approve. No platform fee sits on top of either number, and nothing is charged before you approve the written quote.

Shipping and custom production are quoted based on quantity, destination, and presentation requirements. Contents shown are the current curation and are confirmed before production.

Sendoso alternative

Questions buyers ask when switching

Is Pacific Gift Box Co. a direct Sendoso replacement?

Not for the software, and that is the point. Sendoso is a sending platform built to let a large sales or marketing organisation trigger gifts at scale under an annual agreement. Pacific Gift Box Co. is a studio: we hand-pack curated boxes in Costa Mesa and you order when you have a reason to, with no platform, seat or contract in between. If you need gifting automated inside a CRM, a platform is built for that. If you want genuinely good boxes sent in the dozens rather than the thousands, we are the simpler fit.

Do you have a minimum order or platform fee?

There is no platform fee. A one-time order starts at 12 boxes (custom and logo-branded boxes at 100) and you pay per box, with the Signature Collection starting from $65 and shipping quoted separately by quantity and destination. The annual corporate gifting program has its own floor: it reserves from 50 gifts a year and sends them individually; from 100 gifts every gift is 15% off.

Can you handle multiple recipients and addresses?

Yes. Send the list as a spreadsheet or in the body of an email — name, address, date, an optional note — and we do the data work on our side. If you do not have home addresses, we collect them for you. Under 50 boxes, or outside Southern California, boxes normally ship tracked ground, arriving 1–5 business days after the 72-hour pack, and multi-address lists carry no extra handling charge.

Does it integrate with our CRM?

No. There is no API and no CRM connector, and for a one-time order that is deliberate: intake is a spreadsheet or an email, so an order can go out this week rather than after a procurement or IT review. The annual program adds two optional tools — a private page where recipients choose their gift and enter their own address, and a dashboard showing what has shipped and what is left. You open a link; nothing is rolled out to your team.

Can the boxes carry our logo?

Yes. A logo goes on the box, the ribbon or the insert card, quoted with the order, and we send a proof before anything is printed. Custom and logo-branded boxes start at 100 boxes. Branded production adds 7–14 business days before packing begins, so a branded send needs more notice than a non-branded one.
