Halloween Gifts for Employees: What to Send, and What Not to Buy

We hand-pack corporate gift boxes for a living, so the useful thing we can tell you about Halloween gifts for employees is that we do not sell one, and we are not going to start.

Here is the reasoning, with the numbers, because "we do not stock that" is a worse answer than "here is why nobody should".

The demand is real, and it is tiny

Google Ads data via DataForSEO, United States, twelve months to July 2026:

  • "halloween gifts for employees" — about 30 searches a month averaged over the year. In October it reached 260. In November it was 10. In December it was zero.
  • "halloween gifts for coworkers" — about 110 a month, with a cost-per-click of 29 cents, which is what advertisers pay for traffic they do not expect to convert.
  • "halloween corporate gifts" — about 10 a month, peaking at 70 in October.

For scale, "thanksgiving gifts for employees" runs at about 210 a month and peaks at 1,600 in November, and "corporate christmas gifts for clients" runs at about 260 and peaks at 1,000 in December. Corporate Halloween is not a small season. It is a rounding error next to the two that follow it.

Look at who ranks for it and the same story shows up: the first page is Pinterest, Etsy, Amazon and Walmart, plus a couple of gifting companies with a seasonal landing page. That is the signature of a query being served by consumer marketplaces, not one where businesses are placing orders.

What Halloween actually is inside a company

It is a team-facing day, not a client-facing one. It is sweets in a bowl, somebody's dog in a costume, and a short afternoon. It has no shipping problem to solve, which is precisely why nobody is looking for a supplier to solve it.

Treat it as what it is and it costs almost nothing and works. Treat it as a gifting occasion, order a themed box per head, and you have spent a client-gift budget on a day that will be forgotten by November 3rd — while the actual client-gift deadline goes past unnoticed.

Two more practical problems with an October box

Heat. Late October is still warm on a Southwest freight route, and it is genuinely warm in Southern California. Chocolate is the first thing anyone puts in an autumn box and the first thing that arrives soft. Our whole ten-box Holiday Collection is deliberately built to travel in warm weather — there are no chocolate bars, truffles or coated items in those recipes — and that constraint exists because the alternative is a refund conversation.

Orange and black. Seasonal packaging is packaging you cannot use two weeks later. A box that reads as October is a box nobody can send in November, which is why everything we stock is seasonally neutral and why the branded work is your artwork rather than a themed print we hold in stock.

If you want to send something anyway

You can, and we will build it — it is just quoted like any custom box rather than picked off a page. There are things in the standing catalogue that read as October without a pumpkin printed on anything: pumpkin cinnamon granola, salted caramel truffles, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, orchard-blend dried fruit, a glazed pistachio mix, and raw honey from hives an hour from the studio. We put that build on our Halloween page as a worked concept, with no price on it, because we have never packed one and are not going to pretend otherwise.

If you would rather choose product by product, that is what the builder is for.

What to send instead, and when

Send to the team at Thanksgiving. It lands in a quieter week than December, the search data says it is when people are actually looking, and it does not compete with every other supplier your recipients deal with. The 2026 dates are on our Thanksgiving page.

Send to clients in December, decided in October. This is the part that matters, and it is the reason a page about Halloween is worth your time. Custom-branded orders add 7 to 14 business days of production before packing begins, and the clock starts when artwork is approved rather than when the order is placed. Working back from a December delivery, the last safe branded start is Friday, November 20.

The branded Thanksgiving date has already gone by Halloween: it was Friday, October 23, eight days before the 31st. If you are reading this with a bowl of sweets on the desk and you wanted branded Thanksgiving boxes, the honest answer is that unbranded now beats branded late.

Frequently asked

Do you sell Halloween corporate gift boxes?
No. There is no Halloween SKU, no orange-and-black packaging and no photograph of one, because none of it exists. We will build an October-flavoured box from the standing catalogue and quote it like any custom order.

What is a good Halloween gift for employees?
Something shared and same-day rather than something shipped and individual. A bowl in a high-traffic spot outperforms a themed box per head, at a fraction of the cost.

Is it too late for Thanksgiving if I am reading this at Halloween?
For branded boxes, yes — Friday, October 23 was the last safe start. Non-branded is still open: order by Tuesday, November 10 and it is packed by November 13 and arrives by Friday, November 20, before offices thin out.

Can you put our logo on a Halloween box?
Branding here is your artwork on the box, the ribbon and the note card, not a seasonal print we hold in stock. With 7 to 14 business days of production before packing, an October 31 delivery needs artwork approved in September.
