Executive Gifts · Costa Mesa, CA

Executive gifts that
get past the assistant.

A gift to a senior person is screened before it is received: someone else opens it, and the recipient's first question is whether accepting it has to be declared. Clear both and the gift works. Spend more without clearing them and it does not.

Boxes from $98 — unbranded by default, addressed to the person, with the value on the invoice so it can be filed rather than explained.

Sending to a wider list?

This page is the senior recipient. A whole client list runs from client appreciation gifts, your own team from employee appreciation gift boxes, the person who made the introduction from referral gifts, and a December send for everyone from holiday corporate gifts.

What the gift has to survive

An executive gift is judged three times

In this order, by three different people — and the expensive gift that fails the first two never reaches the third.

The assistant opens it first

Most gifts to a senior recipient are received, unpacked and triaged by someone else. A box that reads as a vendor mailer gets recycled on that desk and the recipient never knows it arrived. A clean box with a handwritten-style card addressed to the person by name gets carried in.

Then the policy question

The second thought is whether accepting it has to be declared. Plenty of companies cap what an employee may accept, and public-sector recipients usually cannot accept anything. A modest, clearly valued, obviously consumable gift is the one that does not put the recipient in a conversation with their compliance team.

Then the taste question

A senior person has bought themselves everything they want at this price. What they have not done is be given something chosen with evident care — real brands, a few of them, in a box that was packed by a person rather than assembled by a fulfilment line.

Price is the weakest signal in the box

Our executive edit runs $98–$245 per box, ground shipping included, and the ceiling that matters is not the top of that band. Past a certain figure a gift stops reading as thoughtful and starts reading as an obligation — and in regulated industries it stops being acceptable at all. Spend to what the recipient can accept, not to what we can build.

Nothing on the outside says who sent it

The default is no logo: the card says who it is from, the box does not. An executive gift stamped with your brand is marketing that someone has to find a shelf for. Light co-branding on the card or ribbon is available when you want it.

It has to arrive on its own

Twelve executives are twelve addresses, half of them home addresses. Individual fulfilment is how every order here works, so a VIP list is not a pallet that someone in the office then has to redistribute.

Who they go to

Four executive lists, four different sends

A client's leadership team

The renewal, the deal that closed, the quarter they backed you. Tier the list before you buy: the same box to twelve people reads as a programme, which is what you want, and a fuller box for the two who signed is normal rather than awkward.

Your own executives and board

After the Q4 meeting, the raise, the exit. This is the one case where the gift can carry the company's identity, because everyone involved already works for it.

The partner who made the introduction

A senior referral is still a referral, and the value cap their industry sets applies to them whatever their title is.

Speakers, advisors and retreat guests

People who travelled to be in the room. Sent to the hotel for arrival or to their home for the week after — the box is the same, the timing is the decision.

Tiering a long list without insulting the bottom of it is its own problem — how to split a 60-name list into tiers covers the way we normally do it.

How the buying works

A short list is a timing problem, not a volume one

Executive sends are small and spread across the year, which is the opposite of how most gift suppliers are set up. Both of these routes are built for it.

One order, released over the quarter

From 12 boxes

Orders start at 12 boxes. Buy the quarter's executive gifts in one order, send us the address and the card line for each as the occasions arrive, and each box ships on its own with its own card.

Custom boxes built to your brief, or anything carrying your logo, start at 50 boxes and add production time before packing begins.

Reserve the year

Annual Corporate Gifting Program

Reserve from 50 gifts across the year. We prepare and store them in Costa Mesa and ship each one as you call it off, with 7 days' notice. From 100 gifts a year, every gift is 15% below its regular per-gift price.

This is how a firm covers executive moments, client renewals and the holiday send off one reservation and one invoice instead of four separate scrambles.

Non-branded boxes are packed within 72 hours and normally ship tracked ground, arriving 1–5 business days after packing. Anything carrying your logo is quoted with its production time before you approve it.

Questions

Executive gifts, answered

What makes a good executive gift?

Restraint, specificity, and a card with the person's name on it. Our executive edit of the Signature Collection runs The Unplugged Evening (from $98), The Corner Office (from $160), Still Hot (from $245) — five to seven real items from brands the recipient recognises, hand-packed in Costa Mesa, CA, in unbranded presentation packaging, ground shipping included. What does not work at this level: anything carrying your logo, anything that needs explaining, and anything whose only argument is that it was expensive. Contents follow the current curation, with any substitution of equal or greater value confirmed before fulfillment.

How much should you spend on an executive gift?

Our executive boxes run $98–$245 per box, ground shipping included, and most executive programs we quote sit in the lower half of that band whatever the headcount. Two ceilings matter more than your budget does. The recipient's employer may cap what they can accept — ask before you send. And the IRS caps the business-gift deduction at $25 per recipient per year (Publication 463), which applies to the box and its contents no matter what you spend, so the figure above $25 is a relationship decision rather than a tax one.

What if their company does not allow gifts?

Then do not route around it. Sending to a home address to avoid a corporate gift policy is the one move that turns a thank-you into a problem for the person you were trying to thank. The alternatives that work: ask the executive assistant what the limit is and send under it, send a shareable box to the team rather than to the individual, or send a card and keep the gift for a context where it is allowed. Public-sector and government recipients are a firm no. How to find the limit before you send, in one email: Client gift policy limits — how to find out what your recipient can accept.

Can we put our logo on an executive gift?

The default is no logo at all, and at this level it is also our recommendation: the card carries your name, the box stays clean. If you do want your mark on it, light co-branding on the card, the ribbon or an insert is the usual choice. Custom and logo-branded boxes start at 50 boxes. Branded production also adds lead time, confirmed in your quote before you approve anything.

Can you ship to each executive individually, including home addresses?

Yes — individual fulfilment to a list of addresses is the standard way orders ship here, home and office alike, each with its own card. Send the list as a spreadsheet with the name, address and the line you want on each card. One box per address, no bulk drop for someone at your end to sort out.

Do any of the boxes contain alcohol?

No. Nothing in the Signature Collection contains alcohol, which is also the safer choice for a recipient whose policy, health or preference you do not know — and it keeps the box shippable to every state without an adult-signature carrier service.

Can I send just one or two executive gifts?

Not as a one-time order: orders start at 12 boxes. For a short VIP list there are two routes. Order 12 and tell us where each box goes as the occasions come up across the quarter. Or reserve a year through the Annual Corporate Gifting Program — from 50 gifts, stored in Costa Mesa and released one at a time with 7 days' notice, with every gift 15% below its regular per-gift price from 100 gifts a year.

How long does an executive order take?

Standard non-branded orders are prepared in 72 hours. Custom branding adds production time, confirmed in your quote before you approve anything.

How are the boxes delivered?

Southern California orders of 50 boxes or more are hand-delivered by our team at no delivery charge, on the day preparation completes. Anything outside Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties ships tracked ground, and so do smaller orders as a rule — though a small local order on a tight date can often go the same day, hand-delivered free, confirmed in writing first.

This is general information, not tax advice — confirm the treatment of any gifting spend with your accountant.
